Our World Tour 2010 has come to a close! Next year, we celebrate our tenth anniversary! Check out the preview of our 2011 schedule on your left. Next summer, we will have three options:

  1. Kids for Peace Camp -which teaches children, in Grades 1-6, about the world in a way that’s both educational and fun. Each week, campers learn about a different part of the world and immerse themselves in those cultures through music, art, world studies, games, cooking, drama, folktales, dance and more. Campers gain peacemaking skills and look at serious issue that threaten peace and justice around the world. A weekly field trip enhances their appreciation.
  2. Peacemaker Academy: For campers in Grades 7-12. Will run simultaneously at specified sites and will feature: see detailed schedule to your left.
    • Topics Addressed by the United National Millennium Goals
    • Foreign and Documentary Films related to the topic
    • Book Club Discussions: This summer, we will feature Half the Sky by Nicholas Christof and Sheryl WuDunn, Three Cups of Tea by Gregg Mortenson and Africa United by Steve Bloomfield
    • Our American Heritage – A look at the cultures that shaped America
    • Planet Earth and Geography Games
    • Volunteer Wednesday – A day-long volunteer experience related to the topic being studied.
  3. Peacemaker Sleepover Camp: August 13-21 - a 9-day residential camp for emerging global citizens in Grades 7-12. Details on your left.
